EastArkNet Mobile App Privacy Policy

The EastArkNet mobile application is operated by Evocatus Media, LLC. This policy explains what information the app processes, why it is processed, and the choices available to users.

Information EastArkNet Does Not Request

EastArkNet does not require users to create a personal account.

The app does not request or intentionally collect:

• Names, email addresses, telephone numbers, or physical addresses
• Precise or approximate device location
• Contacts, photos, videos, or microphone recordings
• Health, payment, or financial information
• Advertising identifiers

EastArkNet does not display third-party advertising and does not use information for advertising, behavioral profiling, data brokerage, or cross-app tracking.

Information Used to Provide the Service

Scanner and App Requests

When the app connects to EastArkNet servers, ordinary technical request information may be processed, including an IP address, request time, requested resource, device or app platform, and basic connection information.

This information is used to deliver scanner audio and app data, maintain service security, diagnose technical problems, and prevent abuse.

Optional Push Notifications

Push notifications are optional. When a user enables notifications, the app may transmit and store:

• A randomly generated installation identifier
• A push-notification token
• The device platform
• The installed app version and build number
• Whether notifications are enabled
• The notification categories selected by the user
• The date and time the registration was last updated

This information is used only to register the installation, deliver requested EastArkNet notifications, manage notification preferences, and troubleshoot notification delivery.

Notification delivery may involve Apple Push Notification service and Expo notification services. Those providers process notification information only as necessary to provide notification delivery and operate their services.

Optional Restricted-Access Codes

Most EastArkNet content is available without an access code. A user may optionally enter a code to unlock authorized talkgroups. The code is stored securely on the device and transmitted over an encrypted connection to the EastArkNet server for permission validation.

An access code is not a personal account and is not used for advertising or behavioral profiling.

Information Stored on the Device

The app may save local settings such as:

• Selected talkgroups
• Appearance preferences
• Notification preferences
• Recent scanner activity
• Optional restricted-access credentials
• Other app configuration settings

Information that remains only on the device is not transmitted to Evocatus Media unless it is needed to perform a feature requested by the user.

How Information Is Used

Information processed by EastArkNet is used only to:

• Deliver scanner calls, alerts, and authorized content
• Maintain the app's connection to EastArkNet services
• Deliver notifications selected by the user
• Apply guest and restricted-access permissions
• Maintain security and prevent abuse
• Diagnose failures and improve service reliability
• Respond to support and privacy requests

Sharing of Information

Evocatus Media, LLC does not sell personal information.

Information is not shared for third-party advertising, targeted advertising, data brokerage, or cross-app tracking.

Limited information may be processed by service providers that operate infrastructure necessary for the app, including hosting providers, Apple Push Notification service, and Expo notification services. Information may also be disclosed when required by law, court order, or a valid governmental request.

Retention and Deletion

Settings stored locally remain on the device until the user changes or clears them, resets restricted access, or removes the app.

Disabling notifications removes the active push token from the notification registration and stops notification delivery. Limited installation metadata may remain temporarily for security, reliability, and registration-management purposes.

Users may request deletion of notification-registration information or other information associated with their installation by contacting support@evocatusmedia.com with the subject EastArkNet Privacy Request. Additional information may be requested only to identify the applicable installation record.

Operational server logs are retained only as long as reasonably necessary for security, reliability, troubleshooting, and routine log rotation.

Security

Evocatus Media uses reasonable administrative and technical measures designed to protect information processed by the app. Restricted-access credentials and notification credentials are transmitted using encrypted HTTPS or secure WebSocket connections.

No system can guarantee absolute security, but EastArkNet limits information to what is reasonably necessary to operate the service.

Children

EastArkNet is not intended for children under 18. Evocatus Media does not knowingly request or collect personal information from children.

Emergency Services and Government Affiliation

Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated when app functionality, service providers, or data practices change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when material changes are made.
